Homebound is about the search for 'home' and the struggle of having a dual identity but not necessarily belonging in either country, then coming to the conclusion that once you are heading in the direction you want to be, you aren't lost and home is within you. I think a lot of second generation Africans can relate to this struggle and it's such a blessing to have Sans Soucis and Toya Delazy share their experiences from South Africa, Congo and Italy on the track too. As amazing female artists, it also became a celebration of black women, how powerful our voices are together, that we can be heard and what we have to say is just as important.
